Quran Miracle: It Introduces God As Rahman, Rahim and Ghafur

Mercy & Beneficence Of God: Universal Application

In the Name of Allah
Quran introduces God As Rahman, Rahim and Ghafur. This totally matches with the conformity and consistency required for the operation and survival of a universe as we live in. This trait is a must must for the uniformity of the physical laws and continuity of complex cosmological processes and the existence of living beings.

Arrogant Person Sitting On Cash

O people always thank that your Lord is Gracious and Merciful and not like any powerful person or king of this world. Just think if God would not be like the way He is. Then what would be the situation? Imagine a king or even a powerful authoritative average person around you. How their mood swings, how they change their behaviours, their words, their promises. How forgiving someone totally depends on their mood. How they become angry on their insults. While your Lord listens to all those insulting words, people say against Him day and night.

Do not Despair Of The Mercy Of God
Although He is All-powerful, He has given the freedom and free will not believe in Him and do all that you want to do against Him. He has made a precise method of accounts that whoever will do righteous deeds He will forgive him. He never breaks His promise. Thanks that He is like this. Not even this but for those who do not have good deeds in their accounts He gives them a clear hope by this verse, “Say, O My slaves those who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the Mercy of God. Indeed, God forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful”

Abu Huraira said that I heard Prophet of God saying, Allah divided Mercy into 100 parts. He kept its 99 parts with Him and sent down its one part on the earth, and because of that, its one single part, His creations are Merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoofs away from its baby animal, lest it should trample on it.”

God's Mercy Encomesses All Things
Salman al Farisi said, The Prophet of God PBUH, said, “Indeed, on the day God created the heavens and earth, He created one hundred parts of Mercy. Each part can fill what is between the heaven and earth. He made one part of Mercy for the earth. From it, a mother has compassion for her child; animals and birds have compassion for each other. On the Day of Resurrection, he will perfect this Mercy.” (Muslim)

Prophet Muhammad said,

“You will not enter Paradise because of your deeds, but by the Rahmah (Mercy) of Allah only”.

The Prophet also said

“When Allah created the creatures, He wrote in the Book, which is with Him over His Throne: Verily, My Mercy prevailed over My Wrath. (Bukhari)

Difference Between Rahman And Rahim

Subhan Allah

Prophet Muhammad once expressed the meaning of Rahman and Rahim by saying that the trait and attribute Rahman generally pertains to this life. His Mercy and love are exhibited in the creation of the universe. He is the bestower of gifts which precede our birth. While the attribute Rahim generally pertains to the life to come and His love and Mercy are manifested in the state that comes after.

The Word Rahman “رَّحْمَٰن” And Rahim “رَّحِيم”

God's Mercy Encomesses All Things
Rahman and Rahim are both active participle nouns of different degrees. These are names, attributes or epithets applied to Allah, denoting intensiveness of significance. Arabic extensiveness is more suited to express God’s attributes than the superlative degree. Rahman conveys the idea of fullness and extensiveness and indicates the greatest preponderance of the quality of love and Mercy, which comprehends the entire universe without regard to our effort and asking even before we are born. The creation of the sun, the moon, air and water etc., all are there because of this attribute. Rahim denotes the idea of constant repetition and giving of liberal reward to those who deserve it and seek of it. The manifestation of this attribute is in response to and is a result of the action of the human being. So the Rahim means extremely and continuously loving and merciful and dispenser of grace and love as a result of our deeds and supplications, and one in whom the attribute is constantly and excessively repeated.

Say, “Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call – to Him belong the best names. (Surah Isra 17:110)

Allah Is Great
On the contrary, the Quran mentioned Allah only one time as “Jabbar” الْجَبَّارُ The Irresistible. Six plus two times as the “Qahar” (قَهَّار) & “Qahir” (قَاهِر) The Subjugator. And 88 times as “Aziz” (عَزِيز) the All-Mighty.

So you can see the Mercy of Allah surpasses His Wrath. The name Al Aziz the All-Mighty, should only be considered as just an expression of power and not as an expression of wrath and punishment.

DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THE IMPORTANT WORDS USED IS GIVEN BELOW

The first kind embraces everything. The obligatory is that which is promised to pious only.
